Project overview

Context and scope

ScentedVenture is an existing Shopify storefront included in my portfolio. The listed work is focused on refinements and cleanup: the kind of issues that accumulate as a store's theme, apps and content change over time.

Instead of presenting it as an entirely new store build, this case study documents the narrower scope shown in the portfolio: theme and demo-popup cleanup, newsletter and contact form changes, footer and social-sharing details, and navigation improvements.

Problem and approach

Why ongoing theme refinement matters

A live ecommerce site has many connected points of interaction. A popup can interfere with browsing, inconsistent links can confuse visitors and a contact form that is not presented clearly can make customer support harder to access.

The recorded work focused on everyday storefront reliability and polish rather than a visual redesign or an unverified performance promise.

Documented work

Features and implementation areas

Theme and demo popup cleanup

The project includes cleaning up theme elements and unwanted or demo popup behaviour. Removing irrelevant presentation elements helps a storefront reflect its current brand.

Newsletter and contact forms

Form improvements were part of the scope. These touchpoints should make subscription and customer contact steps understandable and usable.

Footer and social sharing

The portfolio notes refinements to footer, brand and social-sharing elements, which support a consistent storefront across different pages.

Navigation refinements

Menu and navigation adjustments were included so important product and information routes are easier to follow.

Engineering considerations

What went into the build

Work within an existing codebase

The project uses Shopify, Liquid and JavaScript. Changes need to be compatible with the current theme rather than assume a blank-slate build.

Consider the full customer path

Look beyond isolated components to the way navigation, forms, product templates and footer links connect.

Review desktop and mobile behaviour

Small theme modifications still need to be checked across devices and realistic browsing interactions.

Evidence, not invented metrics

What this project demonstrates

The public portfolio documents a set of Shopify maintenance and usability tasks. It does not supply before-and-after performance measurements, so this case study focuses on the actual work described rather than invented business outcomes.
